This is not a painting about dogs.

The Malinois is not here as a pet.

It is a character.
A force.
The part of you with teeth.

The part that carries hunger, instinct, ambition, aggression, intuition, and the refusal to stay small.

A Belgian Malinois is powerful enough to be dangerous, but disciplined enough to remain still.

That is what makes it unsettling.

It does not need to bark.
It does not need to prove anything.
Its power is already in the room.

The real question is whether that power listens to you.

In this painting, the three Malinois become a portal.

One is still outside it.
One is passing through the vertical water.
One has already been changed by it.

To me, they feel like three states of the same inner force.

The part you trust.
The part you fear.
The part you are still learning how to lead.

This piece came from a personal transition.

A moment of meeting my own intensity more honestly.
The ambition.
The anger.
The discipline.
The shadow.
The inner villain I used to judge, suppress, or misunderstand.

But I no longer think the goal is to kill that part of myself.

The goal is to train it.

Because a suppressed beast becomes dangerous.
An uncontrolled beast destroys.
But a trained beast becomes protection, focus, instinct, and direction.

That is the question behind Jade Portal:

What becomes possible when the most intense part of you is no longer hidden, feared, or acting against you?

What becomes possible when it finally trusts your voice?
